Emily Coggins is the daughter of Carolyn-Fuller Coggins and grand daughter of Percy Fuller (who started Fuller’s Country Horse Farm in the 1950’s). She is currently co-owner of Fuller Family Equestrian LLC.
Emily grew up on the farm and has been on horseback, and in love, with horses before she can remember. Some of her fondest memories are attending the Morgan Horse Shows with her grandfather as well as visiting Wellington each year for the Winter Equestrian Festival with her mom.
As a young rider, she competed in lower level dressage, and in the hunter/equitation/jumpers. She also competed on the Williston Fuller IEA team, USHJA show circuit, and later went to Mount Holyoke College, where she was an active member of the IHSA team competing and winning championships in her divisions. After college, Emily lived in New York City for nearly 10 years. She currently works as Director of Marketing for a group of international illustration agencies and in 2020, she decided to come home to continue the Fuller family tradition.
My name is Chrysanthi (Chrys) Gavagan and I am a event rider in Western, MA. I have been riding since the age of four, and with over 20 years experience on the back of a horse, I bring a unique approach to training my horses and riders to reach their full potential. I work with my horses to be forward thinking, relaxed and enjoy their jobs. I believe whole-heartedly that horsemanship is a partnership between you and your horse before all else. Without a connection and understanding of your horse’s concerns, emotions and ideas there can be no success in their training. I specialize in the training of young and green horses in the eventing and dressage disciplines. I am currently an active competitor at the Preliminary eventing level and at second level dressage. I am also a licensed and insured riding instructor for dressage, show jumping and cross country of any level. As an instructor, I hope to help riders develop a fundamental basis of riding, good communication between horse and rider, and strong equitation to develop the tools to be successful as a rider and competitor. As a trainer, I work with every horse to be a calm and confident partner and work to bring out the best aspects of every horse I sit on.
Taylor teaches here at Fullers, and also travels to other barns. Taylor specializes across disciplines. If you are interested in taking a lesson with Taylor feel free to email us and we will send her your contact info.

About Suzanne:
Suzanne teaches both riding and pilates. She likes to help all bodies move better…horses & humans! She enjoys helping riders find creative ways to tap into their horse’s abilities. She helps riders identify their goals (whatever they are!) and work progressively toward clear communication & cuing with their horses. Clarity builds confidence between horse & rider.
Suzanne began teaching 25 years ago. She spent many years at UMass, teaching dressage & jumping, equine management and coached the dressage team. She was voted coach of the year for the Intercollegiate Dressage Association (2010) and was inducted into their Hall of Fame. Suzanne is a certified Level I instructor through the USEA (US Eventing Association), and a USDF L graduate (US Dressage Federation’s judge education program). Suzanne judges schooling shows throughout New England.
For riders with showing goals in mind, her teaching reflects the training scale that develops horses & riders as they move up the levels. In addition to lessons and clinics, she coaches riders at both local and recognized shows and has helped students earn their USDF Bronze & Silver medals.
Coupled with her riding instruction Suzanne is also a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT) through the Polestar program. She recently opened her own studio, Progression Pilates, in South Deerfield. She teaches riders and non-riders alike. For riders, she finds pilates helps develop a more independent position, and increases strength, flexibility and balance. Better body awareness can help a rider be a better communicator in the saddle.

VISITING INSTRUCTOR/CLINICIAN
Samantha has a long time relationship with Fullers, and was a full time trainer here and IEA coach for many years. She currently visits for clinics, and we are so thrilled to have her remain part of the Fuller family!
About Sam:
Sam began riding at the age of 2 and her love for horses has continued to grow since then. She evented throughout Area 1 in high school and college up to Preliminary level and was also a member of the Mount Holyoke College Equestrian Team. After college she became a working student for dressage rider Arlene "Tuny" Page and became fascinated with the sport. With Tuny she was able to travel to Wellington FL and to Conrad Schumacher's stable in Germany. After 2 years of incredible learning with Tuny, Sam spent 5 years as assistant to Christopher Hickey of Dressage Associates. Sam then built up her own clientele in Western Mass and operated her business out of Fuller's Horse Farm for 12 years with a 2 year position as head trainer for a private farm in Rhinebeck, NY. Sam also returned to Mount Holyoke to teach both dressage and hunt seat in the PE program there and assisted Carolyn Fuller-Coggins with coaching the Williston Fuller IEA team. Sam has been teaching and training professionally for 18 years, has earned her USDF Bronze and Silver Medals and has helped her students excel at all levels. Sam has also become a competent FEI trainer and competitor, most notably on Sue Woodhouse's "Prime Time" who she competed at Intermediate 1 and her own "Realist S" aka "Relkino" who she partnered with when he was 5 and who is now schooling at Prix St. George. Sam's long term training influences are Leslie Kornfeld, Barend Heilbron, Conrad Schumacher and Shannon Dueck. She has also ridden in clinics with Lilo Fore, Ulla Salzgeber, Kyra Kyrklund, Felicitas von Neumann-Cosul, Wilma van Bergen, Lucy MacLennen, Sandy Osborne and Bill Warren and has worked with Doug Cross with Natural Horsemanship. Sam has a particular interest in young horses and has imported promising Oldenburg youngsters for clients and for sale. She also enjoys figuring out horses who need an open mind and creative approach to gain confidence to excel.
